In the current market with volume being down, it's pretty easy to get a lil negative about the industry. It's times like these that I am SUPER THANKFUL to have Tanner as our AE. Last week I was sure we had lost a VERY lucrative $400K loan. I called Tanner complaining about how tough things are right now and all pissed off about losing this deal. Per usual, he let me vent and then immediately started brain storming with me on ways to save the loan. His positive attitude and product knowledge basically saved us missing out on over $10K in revenue... If that in itself isn't the definition of "value" I don't know what is. I'm not sure how high up the chain these reviews go but I think it would be AWESOME if Ishbia himself read this and took time out of his extremely busy schedule to personally recognize Tanner. I've been slingin loans for almost 30yrs and Tanner is hands down the best AE I've ever had. There are days, especially in the past year, that I just don't feel like grindin through the day. I've been through the tough times before so I know I just have to put my head down and keep goin. I'll tell you what, it's VERY HARD, even for an oldass curmudgeon like myself to get off the phone with Tanner and not feel positive/energized. His energy is more contagious than gonorrhea in a late 1800's whorehouse. Not only is Tanner amazing at his job and extremely helpful and knowledgeable but he is also probably one of the hardest working people I have ever met. A couple weeks ago during the weekly sales huddle Ishbia called out the AEs for not being in the office on Saturday. I'm not one to standup and speak ... in a large meeting environment like the weekly huddle but had I been there for Sales Track I ABSOLUTLY would have tried. I would've really liked to let everyone in that auditorium know that even though my AE may not physically be in the office, he is NEVER unavailable to me. TRUST ME I've pushed his availability to the absolute limits, as I'm sure he will begrudgingly attest. I speak with Tanner so often when he is out of the office that his lil sweet daughter now knows me as "CRAAAZY UNCLE CURT" and I routinely hear his beautiful wife Latifah holler "CURT JOOOONES" when she knows it me calling in. UWM is extremely lucky to have someone like Tanner on the team. Tanner isn't just my AE, he's my Dawg! I realize money and the bottom-line is what its all about but the older I get the more I realize chasing money isn't everything. Most of the time you find that your AEs are unable to answer questions, address a tough loan scenario, or walk you through the web portal. Not Tanner. I could not ask for a better AE. He is always available and very helpful. He is one of the reasons I love using UWM. Another one is their MI rates.
