My first interaction with Rashawn was three days ago. I'm in the middle of a difficult bank statement loan and he is taking over for another AE, so he has his workload and more. In that conversation, he sensed my frustration and concern. I felt heard and he provided the direction I was looking for. We spoke the next day, before normal business hours. He took the call because he understood where I was with this particular transaction. Picking up the phone for 30 seconds was key. In our next conversation, I shifted to the Streamline/IRRL incentive UWM is promoting. I had questions regarding closing costs, Rashawn gave answers that exemplified knowledge and experience. I got the feeling that I might have a partner to build campaigns with. From a managerial perspective, the fact that he listens to what is being said in its entirety and responds in a like-manner is one of his strengths. Case in point, after discussing the government loans, he asks, "what other loans do I need to know ... about?" Not what else can I help you with, not what else are you working on, but a direct, precise question. This is how I was speaking to him, this is how I handle business, and whether Rashaw is the same, or he has developed the skill to mirror his client, and I appreciated the focused dialogue. Finally, I teed up the need for him to help me through the cancellation and submission of a loan that is being transferred. We spoke about potential challenges. When we connected to handle the process he talked me through the procedure but what was unexpected was that he summarized the call in a followup email for my reference. It's currently open on my screen as I progress through this issue. I get the feeling that he's highly competent with regard to product and procedure. There is comfort in certainty. If there is a problem, or a question that needs to be answered before moving forward, that certainty means I can go to borrower's with a confident timeline and a clear path to closing the loan. RaShawn is that certainty at UWM. If there is an issue on a file, I don't need to pull my hair out trying to fix it for an hour, I can make one call and he either has the solution, or chews on it for half an hour and fixes it behind the scenes. If I need a piece of knowledge, he either knows it, or knows where to find it within the hour. Knowing that there is a safety net for these issue allows me to do my job with confidence, which makes me faster and more reliable than some of the other mortgage companies at other banks. He LISTENS! He brings heart and passion to every touch, be it by phone or email. His video emails are a treat. RaShawn is a highly efficient, effective and strong performing AE.
