The most important ability in this field is availability, and that's where I can always count on Matt to show up when I need him. I also enjoy working with people who bring enthusiasm to their work, makes my job more fun when I'm working with people who also enjoy what we do. He's constantly reminding me of the goals I told him I have such as always hitting pro elite and making more campus visits, reminding me to schedule them out in advance because classes fill up. But again, I'm in California and I know even in the evening time for me if I call Matt he makes it a point to answer my calls because it usually means I have something pressing I need to discuss so that's what really helps me the most. Matt does not just talk the talk. He walks the walk. During our first conversation, Matt told me that he views our relationship as a partnership. He promised he would be there for me whenever things go sideways on a loan. Even with great borrowers & a great lender, complicated issues are inevitable over time. Almost every AE I have ever worked with (at any lender) says something similar and makes these promises. Matt is completely different from all of those AEs, because he actually fulfills on the promises he makes. He does exactly what he says he's going to do. I often get the feeling that Matt actually DOES care about me and my business. His attitude never strays from the positive, and he's always willing to help me find solutions. I have used UWM almost exclusively, because UWM has the best systems, technology, and transparent processes in the wholesale industry. I know for a fact my loans will close (on time) when I work with UWM. Other lenders do not give me the ... same confidence. However, in the past my only quiet complaint has been that the AE experience can feel robotic and sanitized. In other words, I didn't feel like my AEs were able to do much beyond hit a few talking points. Matt proves my feeling wrong.
