In late 2021 I started down a dark path. I turned 40 and had a son which was good, but it threw me into a depressing midlife crisis. I had been working as a loan officer for about 15 years at that point and I was very discouraged. Not because of the market, no, but because i felt like i wasnt going anywhere productive in my life. I tried going back to school for engineering and got a couple weeks into it ans the dark feeling just got darker. One day Mikele Mcmacken called me on the phone. She might not even remember but she said "Brad, why dont you just open your own shop and become a broker owner?" Long story short, She started a spark in me. I took Mikele's idea seriously and stubled upon the book Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. Fast forward to today and over a year of insanely intense and busy months. I now have made that dream a reality. I am officially in business for myself with a pretty bad ass business plan. There is no way i could have gotten here without Mikele and the UWM ... team. I had the chance to attend the broker owner success track earlier this month and I was very impressed and borderline overwhelmed by the scale and awesomeness of UWM. OK now.. Get ready for some CHEESYness... Monday January 22 2024 was my first official customer facing business day. To honor my loyalty and partnership to both UWM and Mikele Mcmacken I wore my UWM t-shirt underneath my Company shirt to symbolize the partnership and the fact that I would not have been in business that day without all the help from Mikele. She is amazing and honestly I consider her now a friend forst and an AE 2nd. She has alwyas been there for me to help out with files and senarios etc. But she has also been there as a good friend.
